5. Discussion and possible action for final adoption of a resolution urging the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor to petition the California Legislature to amend State law (ACTION ITEM)


6. Discussion and possible action for a Department General Order concerning Community Policing, including establishing policy, procedures, and areas for foot patrols (ACTION ITEM)

7. Discussion and possible action to grant or deny Motion for Dismissal of Disciplinary Charges filed in case Nos. C06-030 SL, C06-031 SL, C06-032 SL, C06-033 SL, C06-034 SL, and C06-035 SL under Government Code 3304(d) (ACTION ITEM)

The following time limits will apply:

Charged officers= opening argument: up to ten (10) minutes

OCC=s opening argument: up to ten (10) minutes

Charged officers= closing argument: up to five (5) minutes

8. Taking of Evidence by the Commission, and possible discussion and action to accept stipulated dispositions in the matters of OCC File Nos. C04-119 JWF, C04-120 JWF, C04-121 JWF, C04-122 JWF, C04-123 JWF , C04-124 JWF, and C04-125 JWF (ACTION ITEM)

The Commission may decide to consider Item Nos. 7 and 8 in whole or in part in Closed Session pursuant to Government Code sections 54957(b), and S.F. Administrative Code sections 67.10(b), in which case:

a. Public Comment on all matters pertaining to the Closed Session

b. Vote on whether to convene to Closed Session

c. Reconvene to open session:

i. Possible report on action taken in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code section 54957.1 and S.F. Administrative Code section 67.12(b).

ii. Vote whether to disclose any or all of the discussions held in Closed Session pursuant to S.F. Administrative Code section 67.12(a)

(Members of the public may address the Police Commission for up to three minutes on items that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission but do not appear on the agenda. Speakers shall address their remarks to the Commission as a whole and not to individual Commissioners or Department personnel. Under Police Commission Rules of Order, during Public Comment, Commissioners are not to enter into debate or discussion with speakers.)
