The Police Commission of the City and County of San Francisco met in Room 400, City Hall, #1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, at 5:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Commissioners Mazzucco, Turman, Marshall, DeJesus, Loftus, Melara, Hwang
(Commissioner Turman arrived at 5:35 p.m. Commissioner Marshall arrived at 5:45 p.m. Commissioner Hwang arrived at 6:05 p.m.)

RESOLUTION NO. 14-42
APPROVAL TO ACCEPT DONATION OF $8,507.00 FROM THE ASIAN PACIFIC ISLANDER COMMUNITY FORUM FOR PURCHASE OF A TWO-HORSE TRAILER FOR THE SFPD MOUNTED UNIT
RESOLVED, that the Police Commission hereby approves the request of the Chief of Police to accept donation of $8,507.00 from the Asian Pacific Islander Community Forum for purchase of a two-horse trailer for the SFPD Mounted Unit.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Clyde spoke in regards to transparency and releasing names of officers involved in officer-involved shootings.
Reuben Goodman, 24th & Mission resident, spoke in regards young men finding employment and asked for help for these young men. His cell number is 415 559 5796
REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Chief’s Report
- Review of recent activities
Chief Suhr spoke in regards to a homicide of a 14-years old male who was stabbed and the arrest of the suspect who is also 14-years old. Chief Suhr also responded to Commissioner Melara’s request for update in regards to Planned Parenthood. The Chief then went on to talk about the Chiefs Summit mainly in regards to Pedestrian Safety.
b. OCC Director’s Report
- Review of recent activities
Director Hicks responded to Commissioner Turman’s question about 36 complaints sustained by OCC.

Commissioner Mazzucco has no report.
Commissioner Melara announced that the she is participating in the Tenderloin’s health improvement partnership with St. Francis Hospital to work with the community to address issue of safety in health.
d. Commission Announcements and scheduling of items identified for consideration at future Commission meetings
Inspector Monroe announced that next meeting will be next week, September 10th, and that the community meeting will be in the Central on September 24th.

Commissioner Turman nominated Commissioner Loftus, second by Commissioner Marshall. Approved 7-0.

Commissioner Marshall nominated Commissioner Turman as Vice President, second by Commissioner Loftus. Approved 7-0.

Commissioner Loftus thanked Commissioner Mazzucco for his work as President of the Commission.
Commissioner Turman also thanked Commissioner Mazzucco.
Commissioner Mazzucco thanked Chief Suhr for his work and for making his work easy.

RESOLUTION NO. 14-43
ELECTION OF PRESIDENT OF THE POLICE COMMISSION
RESOLVED, that Commissioner Suzy Loftus shall serve as President of the San Francisco Police Commission.

ELECTION OF VICE PRESIDENT OF THE POLICE COMMISSION
RESOLVED, that Commissioner L. Julius Turman shall serve as Vice President of the San Francisco Police Commission.
