One South Van Ness - Block 3506, Lot 001
The Real Estate Division led a multi-departmental team to develop and execute a complex lease-purchase transaction in order to consolidate various City staff into One South Van Ness Avenue. One South Van Ness is an 8-story, 504,471 square foot office building. The property is ideally located at the southeast corner of Van Ness Avenue and Market Streets in the Civic Center. The City exercised its option to purchase the property for $71.5 million and closed escrow on the purchase on May 17, 2007. The building has been managed by the Real Estate Division since acquisition.

1650 Mission Street - Block 3215, Lot 008
The Real Estate Division led a multi-departmental team to purchase this 182,461 square foot office building for $40.5 million to accommodate the Planning Department, Department of Human Services, and Department of Building Inspection. The City closed escrow on the purchase on May 17, 2007, and the building has been managed by the Real Estate Division since acquisition.

1648 Pacific Avenue - Block 0574, Lot 011
The City sold this former fire station located at 1648 Pacific Avenue. 1648 Pacific is a two-story 6,790 square foot building on at 3,828 square foot parcel. This landmark property was constructed in 1916, and was previously used as Fire Station No. 4, which was closed in 1975. The June 2007 sale was through an auction, and the sale price was $1,800,000.

2350 19th Avenue - Block 2347, Lot 004G
The City sold this former Fire Department compound yard located at 2350 / 19th Avenue. This property contains a 2,000 square foot one-story wood framed building and carport on a 12,497 square foot lot. The Real Estate Division rezoned the property from P (Public) to RH-2 which will allow for the development of 8 to 10 housing units. The June 2007 sale was through an auction, and the sale price was $2,500,000.

425 Mason Street - Block 0306, Lot 002
The City's Public Utilities Commission declared the property surplus and requested the Real Estate Division to sell 425 Mason Street at public auction. The subject property is a cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure that was constructed in 1922 for Spring Valley Water Company. The 8-story and basement building contains approximately 34,500 square feet. The City and County of San Francisco acquired the property on March 3, 1930 when it purchased Spring Valley Water Company's water system. The building served as headquarters for the San Francisco Water Department until January 2003. The June 2007 sale price was $5,600,000.

909 Tennessee Street - Block 4108, Lot 036
The City sold this former Fire Station located at 909 Tennessee, a 6,113 square foot building on a 5,000 square foot lot. The April 2011 sale was through a sealed bid process, and the sales price was $1,310,000.
