BACK STREETS BUSINESS ADVISORY BOARD

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

Chair Peter Cohen called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES

Moved by David Lupo, seconded by Michael Potepan, the minutes were approved as amended.

2. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Chair Cohen announced that the Planning Department would make an informational presentation at next week's Planning Commission 1/18/07 meeting on the Bayview industrial land use controls. Chair Cohen will present the Advisory Board position voted on at the November meeting.

3. PROGRESS ON BSBAB REPORT TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

Chair Cohen went over assignments made to each of the members and discussed the sections and the format. Gabe Cabrera, Office of Legislative Analyst, has compiled business surveys and completed the tax impact section. Mr. Cabrera will also write the best practices section incorporating the Boston and New York programs and anecdotal material.

4. SETTING AGENDAS FOR REMAINING BSBAB MEETINGS

The Chair and members agreed that the remaining meetings would be devoted to reviewing and completing the report.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
