MINUTES

1. Call to order and roll call
The meeting was called to order by Task Force chair, Stephanie Tucker, at 9:25 a.m.

2. Approval of Minutes of February 27, 2012 meeting
No public comments were made. Minutes approved.

3. Approval of Agenda for meeting
Motions were made and discussed. Public comments were made. Voted and approved proposed agenda with the following modifications:
• Presentation on SRO’s during Item #5, Guest Speaker.
• Emergency Safe Access Plans to be presented and discussed during Item #5, Guest Speaker
• Dr. Jean Talleyrand to discuss proposal for research, during Item #9, 2nd Annual Report
• Change closed session to open session and move to end of the agenda

4. General Public Comments
General public comments were heard.

5. Guest Speaker
Stephan Crane presented on SRO’s.

Brent Saupe presented on Emergency Response and Safe Access plan. Discussions followed and motion made to send to all committees for input and response on Emergency Response and Safe Access plan. Public comments were heard. Voted and approved.

6. Federal Interference: United SF Asks, April 3rd Protest & Press Convergence
Stephanie Tucker presented. Brainstorming discussions followed with inclusion of Derek St. Pierre, chair of MCTF Legal committee. Public comments were heard. Amendment to the motion was modified. Public comment opportunity was offered, none made. Voted and approved for Stephanie Tucker, Sarah Shrader, and Hunter Holliman to write a letter with list of recommendations to United SF Campaign and the Board of Supervisors. The letter will be shared with all task force members prior to sending.


7. DPH Update
Stephanie Tucker gave an update on the Department of Health. Discussion followed. Motioned and passed, after public comments were heard, to invite DPH to come to the next Medical Cannabis Task Force meeting.

8. Tom Ammiano Bill 2312, review of amendments & letter of support
Derek St. Pierre, chair of the MCTF Legal Committee presented, with discussions following. Public comments were heard. Voted and approved to send letter of support.
