Liam Woods-Smith's note to be entered in Committee records, 6-27-08

Thursday, June 26, to all lowest priority

Hello, my name is Liam Woods-Smith, and I'm with the Axis of Love. I'm here to speak in favor of diversity on this task force, and all other Boards and Commissions. The voices of women, peoples of color, the sick, the disabled, the poor must be heard. Most groups are being targeted, selectively, by the police, for arrest and prosecution. Diversity is desperately needed, and adequate and fair representation is needed, because people in the Bayview, African-Americans, are35 times more likely to be stopped by the police than your average white San Francisco resident.
