MINUTES
of the
POWER PLANT TASK FORCE

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Chair Philip DeAndrade called the meeting to order at 4:20 p.m.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the meeting of February 4, 2010 were approved as written.
3. UPDATE ON DRAFT ELECTRICITY PLAN (“ERP”) WITH SFPUC STAFF
Manuel Ramirez, PUC: the PUC expects to release draft ERP April 2, or sooner; it will then solicit input from the community.
Mr. Boss: the Task Force should plan to co-host a public meeting regarding the ERP, but agreed to wait and discuss at the next meeting, but agreed to reserve discussion at the next meeting.
Mr. DeAndrade: he would recommend to BOS that it extend the life of the Task Force beyond 2010 to continue its work until the Potrero Power Plant shuts down.
4. PREPARATION FOR BOS LAND USE COMMITTEE HEARING RE CLOSURE OF POTRERO POWER PLANT WITH QUESTIONS FOR : TRANSBAY CABLE, LLC, PG&E AND MIRANT
Mr. DeAndrade: at the last meeting, the Task Force developed questions for the BOS Land Use Committee to help the Board monitor the closure of the Potrero Power Plant closure; questions now being refined for stakeholder input; questions will be directed at Mirant, PG&E and the Trans Bay Cable (“TBC”) sponsor.
Brad Benson, Special Projects Manager, Port of SF: reported TBC is being tested now with plan to open in mid-April; TBC has provided documentation for the public outreach process: PG&E meets with Port staff regularly and is developing public participation process. The final master plan goes to the Port Commission at the end of April.
Deputy City Attorney Theresa Mueller stated that the agreement between the City and Mirant has been approved.
