3. FUTURE OF THE TASK FORCE
Mr. DeAndrade announced that the ordinance that extended the life of the Task Force provides that the Task Force shall finish its work by October 31, 2001. The Final Staff Assessment from the CEC is also due that day.
Mr. Millet: believes that the Task Force should continue its work
Mr. Boileau: if TF is merely pursuing mitigations, then doesn’t see what TF can do.
Mr. Boss: purpose of TF is to interface with and inform the Supervisors what is going on and what our concerns are. Is quite critical that we do a report to the Board that outlines everything the City Attorney’s Office is working on, that the Health Department and other departments are working on, and what Intervenes are doing; important that we stay together as a group.
Ms. Drefke: agrees with Mr. Boss, that TF should continue until power plant is functioning properly.
Deputy City Attorney Joe Como: real work of the City will occur after the FSA is released; that group should go forward and respond to the FSA.
Richard Lee, Health Department: agrees with Mr. Como.
Mr. Boileau: thinks that one of the failures of the TF is that the members do not have a consistent point of view.
Mr. Boileau left the meeting; consequently, the quorum was lost and the meeting ended.
