Present: Stephanie Manfre, Marie Hoemke, Gloria Thornton, Lucille Vaul, Gail Herrick, Peg Strub
- AAE Conference- Will send information out to network.
- Update of Grants-
- CPMC grant- about to start 3rd mailing, focus groups will occur in April- 4 locations (Laurel Heights, Chinese Hospital, St. Luke’s) - SFGH will do surveys as well, going through IRB, then Kaiser. Survey results will be useful because in SF qualitative data doesn’t exist
- Kaiser grant- Kaiser taking applications for 2008 grant cycle. Project team working on creating curriculum for clinics that will participate in project. Looking for someone within clinic who will serve as Asthma Champion to sustain grant
- Network Meeting
· Jennifer Flattery confirmed, Chris Garvey isn’t available- she recommended David Clayman (Peg will invite- Stephanie will resend email)
· Peg has not heard back from Sharon Youmans- Stephanie will get her phone number and give to Peg
· Gail heard speaker at COPD conference from Stanford- thought he was a great speaker on pediatric sleep disorders- Gail will send out to group (Peg will invite)
· Gloria will do CME’s
· Gloria will email Nadine Burke
Prioritization:
Pharmacy talk: ProAir, priming in general, asthmanex v quivar v flovent; HFA vs CFC; Spiriva; Simbacort vs. Advair, Zolair (June Lee could speak on this) - Also potentially Lisa Krum- Gail will f/u with Sharon first, Joanne Blessing-Moore, then Lisa Krum, then Rita
Asthma/COPD- George Su- Gail will invite
For future- we need to confirm date before asking speakers
To Do:

- Peg will invite pharmacists and George Su, if he isn’t available then will invite speaker from COPD conference (from Stanford)
- Peg will invite Jody Thirtyacre and Elena for spirometry
- Peg will invite Andi Marmor

Will conference begin at 8 or 9? Peg suggests earlier- registration 8-8:30, begin at 8:30. We have been giving 75 minutes for speakers

- Outreach to Clinical Management- letter sent out to supervisors
- Exam update- only retakes available, people need expiration date for exam
- Sustainability- ATF may be losing funding for 2008-2009- March 4 Health Commission meeting- Health Department will decide on recommended budget. We may want to consider asking for less money- Blue Cross and Kaiser could sustain network along with SF Health Plan. Kaiser would consider paying for food if meetings were held at Kaiser.
