1. ATFFiscal Matters – 15 minutes

a.       Update on grants

                                             i.      CPMC progress- Data ready to be sent to printer, Nan will also present to IRB at UCSF, Peg will submit to KP.  Karen is concerned that the data we have received from St. Luke’s may be too low.  Gloria will follow up with Julie regarding this.

ii.      Kaiser Permanente grant for community benefits- $10K- Joanna is ready to start key stakeholder interviews, Karen suggests she also talk to Julie McKown.

iii.      CAFA grant for 30K- Asthma Report card, data available, can be used to evaluate/highlight/introduce housing and schools work. Can be used to link to remediation strategies/schools work accountability. Can the money pay for photography?  Karen will call Nancy Warren as a potential consultant to help create the report card.

2. Sustainability- 40 minutes

Karen suggested that staff contact John Eller from ACORN as a environmental committee stakeholder.

Focus needs to be on staffing/funding, w/o the task force work will not get done, scope of work conversation is a moot point without funding.

Marie mentioned a potential CDC grant related to schools (SFUSD isn’t eligible)

RAMP just received OMH grant to focus on health disparities, can we link with SF piece?

Karen will alert Charity Care that ATF isn’t funded after June 08, Anjali will email David Nunez about potential grant from State Dept. of Health.

Other possibilities for funding:

Grants USA

Karen receives announcements of small grants, will forward

SF Foundation- Arlene Rodriquez is the contact for Environmental Projects

Wellness Foundation

Public Health Institute

Talk to Bob Prentiss (on RAMP steering committee, involved in BVHP, HERC).

Potential to advocate for positions at DPH to boost/support housing work- restructure ask for ADD-back budget.  Could potentially be used for staff positions. Would be hard to advocate for add-back if we weren’t legislated.

Marie pointed out that there needs to be a balance between DPH, Community Groups, etc.  Collaboration needed for effective work.

3. Preparation for October 10th Tools for Schools Training- 10 minutes
