Meetings and Environmental Objectives

a.      Preparing for Meeting with Trish Bascom, SFUSD

Committee reviewed previous meeting agreement letter to Ms. Bascom to determine items to discuss at upcoming meeting.  K. Cohn updated the group on the agreements made by SF Dept. of Environment (SFE) to work with SFUSD to purchase EPPs and train appropriate SFUSD staff in conjunction with SFE’s trainings or tailored specifically for SFUSD.  K. Cohn also reported that DPH is awaiting an MOU to move forward SFUSD’s hiring process for a District Tools for Schools coordinator.  We will check in with Ms. Bascom in regards to the status of this and update her on the EPP agreement.  Will also check in with her about Williams Settlement grant application process.  Anjali will work on an agenda for the meeting with Ms. Bascom that lends to agreement on ongoing communication and continuation of process.  Neil reported that UESF is interested in having teachers serve as site coordinators for Tools for Schools.  Need to decide what makes the most sense.

Gloria announced that Blue Cross has prioritized on a national level to support Tools for Schools implementation.  Details are to be determined.  G. Thornton will keep us posted as we want to ensure that Blue Cross is aware of our efforts and can support our work.
