                                             i.      CPMC progress

ii.      Kaiser Permanente grant for community benefits up to $25K

iii.      New grant opportunity from Office of Minority Health- Federal

Budget has been passed onto full Board- we do not know if ATF money has been put back into budget- Stephanie left messages from Connie and Peskin’s aide

Waiting to hear from IRB-

Kaiser- won’t hear until Sept.

Anjali received information about 3 year grant from Office of Minority Health- $200-250K- community partnerships, ethnic health disparities/preventative health care

Applicant needs to be minority serving CBO’s- needs to link with health department

Can Breathe California take this on- additional staff would be needed to manage this grant

Karen suggested picking a clinic to implement this grant with- rather than doing Citywide

Grant is due July 11th- 75 page max- seems unrealistic

Karen suggests working with Mark Galley or Jacob Moody regarding SE Health Center- and Transportation grant

We need current data, ER data should be available soon- CHIS, OSHPD

Gloria will get Human subjects certificate from Joanna

Anjali will get on grant making opportunity listserves so that we are more aware of grants that are available

Guest: VickiWells, DPH

Update and strategize around expediting hiring of SFUSD Tools for Schools District Coordinator

Vicki works for DPH-under Rajiv.  Process has been challenging b/c SFUSD is not city dept.  MOU needed to be created between SFUSD and DPH- now in place.

Paperwork for requisition cannot be done until money is in the Health Dept. fiscal account- money has not been received.  Paperwork now in mayor/controllers office- should take no more than 6 weeks.  Hiring can happen after that time

Posting, etc. cannot happen until Mayor/Controller approve.  Vicki knows of some interested, qualified candidates

Ed Ochi was planning on that as well, but with his departure Vicki doesn’t know who will be on the panel, who her contact person will be at SFUSD

Once the ok comes from Mayor’s office- it will be at least 6 weeks for hiring- 10 weeks more realistic (dealing with HR, interviewing person, etc.)

Vicki will announce at IH meeting next week that she expects to have an open ½ time position soon

Vicki gave committee copy of MOU

Vicki will be the supervisor of the person- she will do the technical supervision, hopes that SFUSD will support the administrative contacts

Vicki wants to reiterate that her client is the school district, and if there are any questions regarding the position, she will refer to the school district

Vicki is under the assumption that SFUSD wants the coordinator to create some modifications to TfS- she will find out what those modifications will be

Anjali had questions regarding the 20% of district sites being trained (as listed in the MOU)- the numbers come from looking at what a ½ time position can do in their time with the resources/funding available

Karen gave a brief update of Williams- and how the IH position will be able to help schools file Williams complaints, and the ATF goal of helping Williams sites implement TfS

Vicki will check to see if Karen can sit on hiring panel.  Ed Ochi was planning on that as well, but with his departure Vicki doesn’t know who will be on the panel, who her contact person will be at SFUSD

Vicki will send ATF copy of job description once it becomes available

Vicki will come to ATF as well as SFUSD to see what we are looking for in a candidate

A timeline of what has occurred so far with TfS implementation will be created for both Vicki and Meyla- Anjali will create/send

Anjali will send Vicki the link of ATF videos

3. Sustainability

Discuss next steps:

Update on Stakeholder Interviews

Stephanie started interview process- should all non-voting seats be considered ? (i.e. DCYF)

Notes and next steps from June stakeholder meeting need to be shared- Karen has now been given greenlight to create Healthy Housing division in her dept.

She will need assistance with budget for this new initiative- needs to be done by December

Stephanie and Anjali will compile results/answers from interviews once they are completed

Potential for July meeting – brainstorm about healthy housing department- what would it look like?

Stephanie will contact people in key departments- DCYF included- potentially September Jarrett

Notes need to be recorded from Stakeholder sustainability meeting

Next meeting needs to be posted as a public meeting- August 6 is next mtg.

Stephanie and Anjali will update milestones grid to be handed out prior to interview- can be emailed out prior to interviews

4. Turn Here Video Vignette Project

Plan for duplication and distribution to ATF and target stakeholders

a.       All video vignettes are finished and compiled onto one DVD along with PSA

What is distribution plan?  Should be on July ATF meeting agenda

Karen suggests sending to agency partners with letter regarding sustainability

Potentially DVD’s should be sent to stakeholders as a tool for sustainability-

Haroon from SFDPH will assist Anjali in copying DVD’s

Distribution plan will be put on agenda for July

5. Committee Issues/Projects (as needed)

a. Attending July 14th SFHA’s Public Housing/Section 8 Forum  - join the Mayor and San Francisco Housing Authority for the Public Housing and Section 8 Forum on Sat July 14th 11am - 3pm at San Francisco State University (Main Quad).  The event is FREE and is for constituents who are Public Housing and Section 8 residents to inform the greater community of Public Housing & Section 8 residents of the services that are available for them.
