PRIMARY MEETING FOCUS: REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL RISK FACTORS FOR ASTHMA IN PUBLIC HOUSING
Our Work Plan Objective: By June 2006, San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) will develop and demonstrate quality assurance and remediation protocols, including tenant education, which will be effective in controlling mold hazards at SFHA sites, and the Board of Supervisors will adopt policy recommendations presented by ATF.
Ø By June 30th, 2006, ATF and DPH will facilitate spending of $49,145 awarded for FY05-06 by BOS to develop and demonstrate a quality assurance and remediation protocol which will be effective in controlling mold hazards at SFHA family development sites.
Ø By June 30th, 2006, ATF and DPH will facilitate spending of $1,900 awarded for FY05-06 by BOS to develop and implement a health education outreach campaign for SFHA tenants, emphasizing tools for reducing environmental risk factors for asthma in housing.
Ø Where appropriate, ATF will bring policy, legislative and funding recommendations for full ATF to submit to Board of Supervisors for FY06-07 fiscal year.
