B.  Training Participant Exam Scheduling:

  • Georgia, Karen, Barbara, Cristine, Edward Wong signed up after Karen's e-mail.  Almost everyone signed up at this time
  • Lesson Learned:  For exam buy-in, go through supervisors.  Otherwise, constantly chasing people to fulfill commitments.
    • Supervisor Meeting:
      • Invite managers to share outcomes and address sustainability
      • Use info from October meeting F/U
      • Share what's been done
      • Discover what managers' need?
      • Edward Wong?

C.  Planning for Next SF Asthma Network Meeting:

  • Date:   Friday, May 4th - piggyback on World Asthma Day
  • Location:  Kaiser Mezzanine Rooms 1-3 (60-70 people)
  • Time:  8-3
  • Promotion - Public Media?
  • Funding:
    • Plan Practice Improvement Project
  • Agenda:
    • Start with networking?  Need more problem solving.  Interactions after each speaker? 
    • Lunch - round table discussion (1hr)
    • Speakers:
      • Andy: Case Studies
      • Cris Garvy (Pulmonary rehab @ Seaton)
        • Presents @ American Thoracic Society. Dynamic Speaker
        • Topics:  COPD, GERD?
      • Karen Smith - Systems Change
      • Susan Jansen (Integrating edu and adherence)
        • She may charge $200
      • Allergist - possibly Faith?
        • Peg is back-up for all speakers
        •   Power-points already created Allergic Rhinitis

San Mateo County Asthma Coalition

  • Partnership for State CEU Legislation Project?  Not yet.
  • Certification Initiative
    • Concern about competitive funding
    • Concern about fair acknowledgement
    • Concern about redundant work between ALA and Breathe.

 

Krista - Concerns appreciated.  Continue open communication.  Door is open for future partnership.
