Roger Donaldson provided a brief summary of a presentation he attended in January featuring visiting scholar Juan Gilbert. Dr. Gilbert presented his perspective on a new voting technology. 5. DISCUSSION OF VSTF WORK PLAN
VSTF members discussed how to welcome public comment on the draft “Candidate Recommendations” document that will eventually be developed as the VSTF’s work product to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. The draft document will be renamed the “Recommendations Under Consideration” and posted on the public website. VSTF members decided that the February 17 meeting would be used to welcome public comment on the document, and that the public comment received would inform next steps for the remainder of 2010. The February 3 meeting would be used to plan for the process of welcoming public comment.
