III. COMMITTEE MEMBERS QUESTIONS/COMMENTS ACTION   22  min
Committee Members will make announcements, ask for items to be placed on next month's agenda, and give further direction to Committee staff on follow-up items. Committee Member Hank Wilson will discuss security officers at resource centers and shelters. Vice Chair Damian Ochoa will discuss Shelter Grievance Policy.  Staff person Bernice Casey will review her staff report including a hygiene report.

A. Local 3 Union     Natalie Naylor 15 min
Ms. Naylor will provide the Committee with an overview of the concerns brought forward by shelter staff.

B. Data Review      Bernice Casey 30 min
Ms. Casey will review the Human Services Agency's response to the Committee's September 29, 2006 letter, including sleeping unit counts and current winter and interfaith shelter sleeping units.

The Committee will review a draft letter to the Human Services Agency and the Department of Public Health requesting copies of policies adopted by the both agencies which ensure that client confidentiality is protected.

D.   Response to San Francisco Chronicle  Diana Valentine 15 min
The Committee will review a draft letter to the Chronicle in response to the Kevin Fagan's October 2006 articles depicting homelessness.

The Committee will review a draft letter to the Elections Department regarding a door hanger used in the November 2006 election in District depicting homeless individuals in a humiliating manner.

Staff person Bernice Casey will review the 2005-2006 annual report for the Shelter Monitoring Committee and Local Homeless Coordinating Board.

The Committee will discuss the status of St. Boniface and ask representatives from Human Services Agency to provide a report on when a contract with St. Boniface will be issued.

The nearest BART station is Civic Center Plaza at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets.  The MUNI Metro lines are the F, J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue Station).  MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 47 Van Ness, 9 San Bruno, and the 6, 7, 71 Haight/Noreiga.  Accessible curbside parking is available on Oak and Hickory Streets.

The ringing of and use of cell phones, pagers, and similar sound producing electronic devices are prohibited at this meeting.  Please be advised that the Chair may order the removal from the meeting room of any person(s) responsible for the ringing or use of a cell phone, pager or other similar sound-producing electronic devices.

In order to assist the City's efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees maybe sensitive to various chemical based scented projects.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.
