Civic Engagement Committee
Rocky Versace is a senior at San Francisco University High School and serves as a mayoral appointee. Rocky is a high school Jazz Ensemble drummer, varsity soccer player, peer tutor, and debate club member. His interest in civic service began with a fellowship in Mayor Breed's campaign. From there, he became an advocate for the cleanup of the Hunter's Point Shipyard during the District 10 Supervisor race. This led him to the Youth Commission, where he is passionate about increasing youth civic engagement and exploring alternatives to youth incarceration. Outside of school, Rocky volunteers at local food drives and enjoys replicating dishes from cooking shows.
