1. Call to Order and Roll Call

Chair Chen called the meeting to order at 5:26 pm. Commissioners present: Chen, Davis, David, Bernick, Marshall-Fricker, Listana. Staff present: Monica Guzman and Allen Lu. There was quorum.

2. Approval of Agenda (Action Item)

Commissioner David, seconded by Commissioner Listana, moved to approve the agenda. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

Commissioner Bernick, seconded by Commissioner Davis, moved to approve the minutes from the last meeting. There was no public comment. The motion was approved by acclamation.

A. Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights Hearing Debrief

The commissioners shared their thoughts on the hearing and expressed their appreciation for the youth and people who came out to give public comment. They discussed next steps in terms of the recommendations they offered to the Board of Supervisors. The commissioners concluded that they would like to submit the recommendations and introduce it in the form of a resolution at an upcoming Full Commission meeting.

B. TAY Housing Goal Updates

Commissioners requested additional help around research from staff on their resolution. Commissioner Davis, seconded by Commissioner Bernick, motioned to request that the Executive Committee consider the resolution as an item for the March 16th Full Commission Meeting.

C. Year of Homeless Youth Updates

Staff shared an update from Larkin Street’s YAB on their draft resolution. The YAB also invited members of the commission to go out to an upcoming meeting to offer feedback and share next steps. Commissioners David, Davis, and Chen will take the lead on this.

8. Staff Report

 
Staff updated the committee on the Vote16 Rally and invitations to Supervisors to come out, greet folks, and hear what the youth have to say.
