ASSESSMENT APPEALS BOARD

In the meeting of Assessment Appeals Board Number 1 of the City and County of San Francisco, Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at 9:35 a.m.

Present: Peter Fatooh, Alec Lambie and Diane Robinson

Quorum present

Chairperson: Peter Fatooh, Presiding

Deputy City Attorney: Dorji Roberts

The Board convened in open session at 9:35 and there was no public in attendance for public comment. At the hour of 9:40 the Board voted to go into closed session to review and discuss with legal counsel the proposed findings of fact that were submitted by both parties in response to the Board’s request following the evidentiary hearing on the below listed applications.

At the hour of 11:17, the Board reconvened in open session, announcing that there was no action taken by Board, and voting not to disclose any part of the discussion held during their closed session.

RECESS

There being no further business, the Board, at the hour of 11:21 a.m., recessed to reconvene at 1:30 p.m.

RECONVENING OF THE BOARD

The Assessment Appeals Board reconvened at the hour of 1:35 p.m.

Present: Peter Fatooh, Alec Lambie, and Thomas Ramm

Quorum present

Chairperson: Alec Lambie, Presiding

The following listed applicant(s) for change in the assessed valuation of property affecting the Assessment Roll for various years being present and heard, the Board took certain actions, as specified under this date, on the original of the respective applications(s):

NOTE: Appeal No. 2002-0097 was previously heard by the Hearing Officer Program, as requested on applicant’s application. The Assessor’s office timely contested the Hearing Officer decision. The appeal was then scheduled before a full board panel. Mr. Fatooh sat as the Hearing Officer when this appeal was first heard. As a result, Mr. Fatooh recused himself from these evidentiary proceedings for appeal no. 2002-0097.

The following listed applicant(s) for change in the assessed valuation of property affecting the Assessment Roll for various years having failed to appear for hearing as scheduled, the Board took certain actions, as specified under this date, on the original of the respective application(s):

There being no further business, the Board, at the hour of 2:55p.m, recessed to reconvene Thursday, February 27, at 9:30 a.m.
