1. Motion to approve Construction Document deliverables for the artwork by Christine Corday for the Moscone Expansion Howard Street Public Art Project.

2. Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to increase Jorge Pardo’s contract from $35,000 to $850,000 (an increase of $815,000) to include Design Development, Construction Documents, Fabrication, Transportation and consultation during Installation, for the Van Ness Avenue Bus Rapid Transit due to a contract modification to increase the artist’s scope of work.

Motion: Motion to approve an honorarium payment of $4,000 to Alison Pebworth for the installation of her work, A San Francisco Wunderkammer, as part of the SFAC ENTRY126 annual commission program. The work will be installed and open to the public on April 26, 2017 and close in early 2018 (date TBD).

Motion: Motion to approve an honorarium payment of $4,000 to Steven Wolf for curating the SFAC Main Gallery exhibition running from April 26 – August 19.

5.Treasure Island Arts Master Plan – Review of Sites Proposed for Phase 1

An excerpt of the Treasure Island Arts Master Plan Draft will be presented to display the first series of sites selected for permanent and temporary visual artworks to be coordinated with Phase I construction of the island.

Motion: Motion to approve the following Treasure Island sites to be coordinated with Phase 1 construction of the island, pending approval from the Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA): Waterfront Plaza, Building One Northern and Southern Lower Plazas, Marina Plaza, Clipper Cove Promenade, Yerba Buena Hilltop Park and Cityside Waterfront Park. Proposed project budgets to be presented in the near future pending verification of art program budget by TIDA.

Meeting Procedures

1. Agenda items will be heard in order. Please note, that on occasion a special circumstance may necessitate that an agenda item be taken out of order. To ensure that an agenda item is not missed, it is advised to arrive at the beginning of the meeting. All agenda changes will be announced by the Chair at the top of the meeting.

2. Public comment will be taken before or during the Committee’s consideration of each agenda item. Each speaker will be allowed to speak for the time allotted by the Chair at the top of the meeting or up to 3 minutes.  During General Public Comment, members of the public may address the Commissioners on matters that are within the Arts Commission’s jurisdiction and are not on the agenda. Any person speaking during a public comment period may supply a brief written summary of their comments, which shall, if no more than 150 words, be included in the official file.

Explanatory documents listed above, as well as documents created or distributed after the posting of this agenda to the Arts Commission will be available for public inspection and copying at the Arts Commission office, 401 Van Ness Avenue, Room 325, San Francisco, CA 94102, during regular business hours.
