Community Arts, Education and Grants Committee Recommendations (December 8, 2015; link to agenda)
Action - Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to enter into a 2015-2016 grant agreement with Richmond District Neighborhood Center for an amount not to exceed $18,000 to produce a Balboa Street music festival.
- Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to enter into a 2015-2016 grant agreement with Bindlestiff Studio for an amount not to exceed $70,000 for facility improvements that will improve the audience and performer experience.
- Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to enter into a 2015-2016 grant agreement with The Marsh for an amount not to exceed $10,000 to support free tickets to performances that address depression and mental health issues.
- Motion to authorize the Director of Cultural Affairs to enter into a 2015-2016 grant agreement with Noe Valley Chamber Music for an amount not to exceed $15,000 to support free in-school workshops and performances for elementary and middle school youth located within District 8.

Civic Design Review Committee Recommendations (December 14, 2015; link to agenda)
Action - Motion to approve Phase 3 of the Noe Valley Town Square project.
- Motion to approve Phase 1 of the San Francisco Airport (“SFO”) Ground Transportation Unit—Vehicle Fuel and Wash Facility project; contingent upon (1) simplifying the stepping in the block to make a straight line on the building; (2) bringing the smaller canopies above the entry doors to the edge of the building; (3) making the detailing above the fueling area lighter and more tensile.
- Motion to approve Phase 2 of the Treasure Island Ferry Shelter and Bus Shelters project; contingent upon (1) making the bus shelters more unique and distinctive; (2) lightening up the concrete base of the ferry shelter; (3) further developing the roof details on both the ferry and bus shelters; (4) relocating the backflow preventer away from the entry.
Visual Arts Committee Recommendations (December 16, 2015; link to agenda)
Action - Motion to approve the site proposed for the expansion of the mural, Celebrating 150 Years of Compassionate, Dedicated Service to the Community, by artists Elaine Chu and Yukako Ezoe Onodera at Laguna Honda Hospital located at 375 Laguna Honda Boulevard. If artists are successful in obtaining funding for the project, they will return for mural design approval as per the Arts Commission’s guidelines at a later date.
