- Letter of Support to Board of Supervisors for new Animal Care and Control facility [Discussion/Action Item] [Commissioner Fortier/Commissioner Tobin]
In January, the Capital Planning Committee of the Board of Supervisors met and decided to remove a proposed $54 million ACC facility improvement from a Public Health and Safety Bond scheduled for the June 2016 ballot. Following this, Supervisors Katy Tang and Scott Weiner announced legislation to amend the City’s Ten-Year Capital Plan to provide financing for a new shelter for ACC. The Commission will submit a letter of support to the Board of Supervisors for the newly proposed Certificates of Participation which will cover the cost of a new shelter and be funded by the City’s General Fund.
B. 2015 Quarterly Report [Discussion/Action Item] [Commissioner Fortier]
The Commission is required to submit quarterly reports to the Board of Supervisors. Last year, no report was submitted in the second half of the year, so this is a half-yearly report.
