  1. Approval of Minutes [Action] – March 1 , 2017
    • Motion by Dan Dodt and seconded by Ellousie Patton

  3. Informational Presentation [Discussion Only]
    • Project Update: San Francisco Office of the Medical Examiner
      • Construction update by project team (SFDPW, SFME, & Clark Construction)
      • Magdalena Ryor from the Department of Public Works, Staci Tsuda from Clark Construction, and Christopher Wirowek from the Medical Examiner’s Office presented on the updates to the soon to be completed ME’s facility. The estimated finishing date is August 2017 and a full move in by September 2017.
      • The presentation started by Dr. Ryor showing contrition updates. Laying out how drywall is and electrical is almost complete. Mrs. Tsuda from Clark Constrution presented and fielded questions from the Committee on the local commitment to Local Hire policies, local purchasing and community engagement. To date the project is above the originally expected mandates place on the build. Mrs. Tsuda elaborated on the projects connection and growth with the neighbors of the facility.
      • Mr. Wirowek was asked by Chair Michael Hamman if the facility would be open to tours once opened. He responded to Chair Hamman’s question stating that tours are will be give n the same format they currently are with school groups at that the Hall of Justice site. If any plans for a ribbon cutting are made the Committee would like the information issued to the public.
  4. Referrals on Projects from Planning Department [Discussion and Action]
    • 1631 Oakdale Ave
      • Presented by Jeff Burris and Craig Lipton. Mr. Burris presented on the two unit building located just off 3rd Street. The two unit four story building will be on a somewhat vacant lot. Currently on the lot is an old garage shed which has been vacant for many years. The building has been presented to the Planning Commission for a front variance, but was denied. Since the variance was denied Mr. Burris adjusted the plans to better fit with current code. The building does have a front facing set back to better a line the building with other on the block. The project has also been presented and approved by neighbors on Oakdale.
      • A vote on this project was not taken. The vote on a Committee recommendation is scheduled for May 3, 2017.
    • 1713 Yosemite Ave
      • Presented by Jeff Burris and Craig Lipton. Mr. Burris presented on the 6 unit building. The project is located in what is currently a vacant lot, which was purchase by Mr. Lipton. The project would create 6 unit ranging from 2 to 4 bedrooms. The project has recently been submitted to the planning department for review. On the premises there will be 4 parking spaces.
      • Members of the Committee and the audience presented question on the neighborhood outreach and local hire possibilities. Mr. Lipton address these question stating they have spoken with members of the community on the project and further our reach will continue as plans move forward. Mr. Lipton further stated that any regulation need around local hire would be met and possibilities for apprenticeships could be made for this project.
      • A vote on this project was not taken. The vote on a Committee recommendation is scheduled for May 3, 2017
  5. Report from the CAO
    • Jack Gallagher of the City Administrator’s Office addressed a number of questions brought to him from the previous meeting.
      • The Mayor’s Office is reviewing an applicate for an open seat of their appointment. Discussions between the Mayor’s Appointment Secretarty and the Applicate are ongoing and moving forward.
      • A reorganization of the CAC’s website will consist of updating out dated pages and information but also the creation of a separate open Google Drive account to publish handouts from presenters.

  7. Next Meeting Schedule [Discussion and Action]
    • The next regularly scheduled meeting is May 3, 2017.
  8.  General Public Comment
    • At this time, members of the public may address the Citizens Advisory Committee on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee but do not appear on the agenda. With respect to agenda items, the public will be given an opportunity to address the Committee when the item is reached in the meeting. Each member of the public may address the Committee for up to three minutes.
    • The Brown Act forbids a Committee from taking action or discussing any item not appearing on the posted agenda, including those items raised at Public Comment. In response to public comment on an item that is not on the agenda, the Committee is limited to:
      •  Briefly responding to statements made or questions posed by members of the public, or
      •  Requesting staff to report back on a matter at a subsequent meeting, or directing staff to place the item on a future agenda. (Government Code Section 54954.2(a).)

Bayview Hunters Point YMCA is on the corner of Lane and Revere (1601 Lane St.) and is wheelchair accessible. The closest MUNI stop is on 3rd St, between Revere and Shafter Ave, 2 blocks away. The nearest MUNI lines are the KT Third St Light Rail and 44-O’Shaughnessy towards Hunters Point. There is accessible street parking around The Library.
