    1. Planning Department Presentation

i.The Planning Department will present and provide updates to committee members on projects happening in the area and the status of some project currently permitted or their permit status.

  1. San Francisco Fire Department Ambulance Deployment Facility (2245 Jerrold Ave)

i.The SFFD and Public Work will present on a proposed Ambulance Deployment Faculty at 2245 Jerrold Ave. The Ambulance Deployment Facility project involves demolition of two structures built in the 1950’s and construction of a three-story, approximately 30,344-gross-square-foot (gsf) Ambulance Deployment Facility and a three-level, approximately 62,000 gsf parking structure behind the existing Fire Department Fire Station 9 located on same block/lot. The 1.7-acre project site consists of two parcels in an intensively developed area of San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood characterized by various warehouse, distribution and light industrial uses. Project will provide a higher-capacity, more efficient and seismically safer facility for City-owned ambulances to improve emergency medical response. No portion of the Ambulance Deployment Facility or parking garage will front on either Jerrold Avenue or McKinnon Avenue; the two structures would be located in the interior of the project site.

i.The County Transportation Authority will be presenting on their District 10 Mobility Management Study and providing an update on the Quint & Jerrold Connector Road.

10.  General Public Comment

  • At this time, members of the public may address the Citizens Advisory Committee on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee but do not appear on the agenda. With respect to agenda items, the public will be given an opportunity to address the Committee when the item is reached in the meeting. Each member of the public may address the Committee for up to three minutes.

 

The Brown Act forbids a Committee from taking action or discussing any item not appearing on the posted agenda, including those items raised at Public Comment. In response to public comment on an item that is not on the agenda, the Committee is limited to:

 

• Briefly responding to statements made or questions posed by members of the public, or

• Requesting staff to report back on a matter at a subsequent meeting, or

• Directing staff to place the item on a future agenda. (Government Code Section 54954.2(a).)

Bayview Hunters Point YMCA is on the corner of Lane and Revere (1601 Lane St.) and is wheelchair accessible. The closest MUNI stop is on 3rd St, between Revere and Shafter Ave, 2 blocks away. The nearest MUNI lines are the KT Third St Light Rail and 44-O’Shaughnessy towards Hunters Point. There is accessible street parking around The Library.


City Hall is between Grove and McAllister Streets and is wheelchair accessible. The closest BART and MUNI Metro Station is Civic Center, about three blocks away. Accessible MUNI lines nearest City Hall are: 42 Downtown Loop, 49 Van Ness-Mission and F-Market & MUNI Metro (Civic Center Station). There is accessible parking available in the vicinity of City Hall.
