2. Approval of Minutes [Action] – March 1 , 2017

4. Referrals on Projects from Planning Department [Discussion and Action]

- 1713 Yosemite Ave

▪ Item was continued from previous meeting (May 3)

▪ Committee discussed the project regarding its overall plans and input heard from the community. Many Members express disagreements with the Project Sponsor’s community outreach and lack of outside support from neighboring organizations, businesses, and residents. 

▪ Committee voted unanimously not to support the project and to send a letter of opposition to the Planning Commission/Department.

5. Report from the CAO

- Jack Gallagher of the City Administrator’s Office addressed an item presented by the CAC. 

▪ The Mayor’s Office is reviewing an applicate for an open seat of their appointment. Discussions between the Mayor’s Appointment Secretarty and the Applicate are ongoing and moving forward. 

- Meeting debrief between City Administrator Naomi M. Kelly, Sophia Kittler Legislative Aide to Supervisor Malia Cohen, Vice-Chair Ellousie Patton of Bayview Hunters Point CAC , and Jack Gallagher

▪ The meeting was to discuss a number of topics ranging from possible funding for CAC, outreach expansion, additional support from the Planning Department, and Committee’s importance to the community.

7. Next Meeting Schedule [Discussion and Action] 

- The next regularly scheduled meeting is August 2, 2017.

8. General Public Comment 

- At this time, members of the public may address the Citizens Advisory Committee on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee but do not appear on the agenda. With respect to agenda items, the public will be given an opportunity to address the Committee when the item is reached in the meeting. Each member of the public may address the Committee for up to three minutes. 

- The Brown Act forbids a Committee from taking action or discussing any item not appearing on the posted agenda, including those items raised at Public Comment. In response to public comment on an item that is not on the agenda, the Committee is limited to:

▪ Briefly responding to statements made or questions posed by members of the public, or

▪ Requesting staff to report back on a matter at a subsequent meeting, or directing staff to place the item on a future agenda. (Government Code Section 54954.2(a).)

Bayview Hunters Point YMCA is on the corner of Lane and Revere (1601 Lane St.) and is wheelchair accessible. The closest MUNI stop is on 3rd St, between Revere and Shafter Ave, 2 blocks away. The nearest MUNI lines are the KT Third St Light Rail and 44-O’Shaughnessy towards Hunters Point. There is accessible street parking around The Library.
