  1. Approval of Minutes [Action]– October 3rd, 2018

2. Presentation from Meals on Wheels Presentation and Vote from Committee [Action]

 

The Project Sponsor behind the development of the new Meals on Wheels PDR Facility, Jackson Liles Architecture, along with the CEO of the Facility Ashley McCumber presented to the Committee, their designs for the new facility at 2230 Jerrold Ave. The project consists of the redevelopment of an approximately 40,000 square foot site in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco. The general scope of the project is the demolition of existing site improvements and buildings, the construction of new infrastructure and site improvements, and the construction of a new PDR (production, distribution, and repair) facility for Meals on Wheels San Francisco to use as its primary food processing and distribution facility. The new facility will include a production kitchen, support areas, cold storage, food storage, warewashing areas, a recessed receiving dock, at grade van loading areas, and office/staff support areas.The Committee voted to endorse this project.  

 

3. Committee Action [Action]

-The Committee voted to determine whether or not a December meeting would be held. The Committee voted to hold a December meeting, the Vice Chair Tim Chan informed us that he will be absent from the December meeting.

- The Committee discussed the date of the January meeting, due to the holiday being the day before. The Committee decided to hold the January meeting a week after, and have the meeting on the following Wednesday, the 9th of January.

- The Committee discussed endorsement procedures. The Committee is willing to consider voting on a project in the same night as the first presentation from the project sponsor, if the following conditions are met.

  1. The Bayview Hunters Point Citizens Advisory Committee Project Information Guide, must be filled out and submitted to the City Administrator’s Office at least 30 days prior to the meeting that the project sponsor is scheduled to present at.

  2. All relevant project materials, including but not limited to; Schematic Designs, EIRs, Project Descriptions, Presentation Materials, etc, must be submitted to the City Administrator’s Office at least 30 days prior to the meeting that the Project Sponsor is scheduled to present at.

  3. Once the Bayview CAC Project Information Guide, and relevant project materials, have been submitted to the City Administrator’s Office, the Office has two business days to circulate the guide and the materials to the Committee.

**Note: Even if the conditions are met, the Committee reserves the right to request the Project Sponsor to return to the following CAC meeting, before the Committee votes on the project.    

 

 

4. Report from the City Administrator’s Office [informational]

-The committee received an update from the City Administrator’s Office on the progress of the Traffic Mitigation Workshop. The January meeting was a potential date for the Traffic Mitigation Workshop being hosted by the Bayview CAC. With the date of the meeting being moved, the Committee decided to hold the Traffic Mitigation Workshop on their February Meeting, Wednesday February 6th.
