At this time, members of the public may address the Citizens Advisory Committee on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Committee but do not appear on the agenda. With respect to agenda items, the public will be given an opportunity to address the Committee when the item is reached in the meeting. Each member of the public may address the Committee for up to three minutes.

The Brown Act forbids a Committee from taking action or discussing any item not appearing on the posted agenda, including those items raised at Public Comment. In response to public comment on an item that is not on the agenda, the Committee is limited to:

• Briefly responding to statements made or questions posed by members of the public, or
• Requesting staff to report back on a matter at a subsequent meeting, or
• Directing staff to place the item on a future agenda. (Government Code Section 54954.2(a).

The CAO will present referrals and the CAC will decide whether to hear projects at a future meeting. The following items have been referred:

•    6625 3rd Street, project includes new construction of a three-unit residential building on a vacant lot. The project is code compliant and no variance is required.

•    319 Bayshore Boulevard, project includes reconstruction of a new convenience store, a fueling canopy covering four fueling dispensers, underground storage tanks, associated piping, and fuel dispensers. The entire site will be re-graded for the new construction. Proposal includes new sidewalk landscaping, city standard sidewalk on Patterson Street, bike parking, and lighting. Construction duration is estimated to be six months.

At its meeting on November 6, the Bayview Hunters Point Citizens Advisory Committee voted to hear these projects.

•    1636 Armstrong, to construct a one-story church building to supplement the existing Little Bethany Baptist Church. Referred September 11, 2019.

•    1100 Thomas Street, to legalize an existing cannabis cultivation facility and associated site work. The project requires a Conditional Use Authorization. Referred September 11, 2019.

•    1560 Wallace Avenue, to construct a metal warehouse on a vacant lot and subdivide into two lots. Requires a Conditional Use Authorization. Referred on July 26, 2019.

•    2144 Revere Avenue, to demolish an existing one car garage and construct a new, 3-story over basement, 4,527sf single-family home. Requires Section 311 notice for residential permit review. Referred on August 21, 2019.

•    101 Bayshore Avenue, to convert an existing automobile service building to a Formula Retail use that sells beer and wine within an existing gas station. Referred on August 27, 2019.
