NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

Order of Business:

1. Call to Order, Roll Call, & Pledge of Allegiance

2. Public comment on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda that are within the jurisdiction of the Elections Commission.

Note: The Commission will hear public comment on each item on the agenda before or during consideration of that item. At this time members of the public may address the Commission on items that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Elections Commission and that do not appear on the agenda.

3. Report by the Budget and Policy Committee. (Discussion and Possible Action)

4. Discussion of the Department of Elections annual budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003. (Discussion and Possible Action)

5. Discussion on Department of Elections policies. Possible action to direct the Director to produce a copy of all policies currently in effect that govern the preparation for, and conduct and completion elections in San Francisco. Possible action to suspend these Departmental policies pending review and ratification by the Commission. Possible action to establish a process and timeline for review and ratification of Departmental policies. (Discussion and Possible Action)

6. Discussion and possible action on an Elections Commission report to the Rules Committee of the Board of Supervisors on March 19th, 2002. (Discussion and Possible Action)
