1. President Gleason called the meeting to order at 8:07 am.
2. COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners, Gerard Gleason, Richard P. Matthews, Winnie Yu, Rosabella Safont, Malcolm Yeung (arrived at 8:08 am), Deputy City Attorney Mollie Lee and Director John Arntz. EXCUSED: Joseph B. Phair. ABSENT: Commissioner Arnold Townsend.
3. Discussion and possible action to submit a request to the Board of Supervisors for a waiver allowing certain City employees or officers to work on the November 4, 2008 GENERAL Election. Commissioner Matthews MOVED and Commissioner Safont SECONDED this item. The Roll Call Vote was UNANIMOUS to submit the request for waiver to the Board of Supervisors.
4. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO APPROVE COMMISSIONER ASSIGNMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS FOR THE NOVEMBER 4, 2008 GENERAL ELECTION. Commissioner Matthews MOVED and President Gleason SECONDED this item. The Roll Call Vote was UNANIMOUS to approve the Commissioner Assignment and Observations for the November 4, 2008 General Election.
