4. Public Comment on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda which are within the
jurisdiction of the Elections Commission. The Commission will hear public comment on each item on the agenda before consideration of that item.
5. Discussion and possible action regarding the lease of real estate for Election Department
offices.
6. Discussion and possible action whether to hire counsel in the matter of Tammy Haygood’s
appeal to the Civil Service Commission regarding her termination of employment.
7. Discussion and possible action whether to disclose at the request of the Civil Service
Commission, the following: (a) All materials and documents concerning the termination of
Tammy Haygood from her position as Director of Elections including performance
appraisals considered by the Elections Commission in closed session; (b) All tapes of the
closed session meeting of the elections Commission of April 22, 2002.
8. Discussion and possible action whether to hold Closed Session pursuant to Ralph Brown
Act, section 54956.9 and Sunshine Ordinance section 67.10(d).
CLOSED SESSION
9. Conference with legal counsel; anticipated litigation as plaintiff or defendant in the matter of
Tammy Haygood’s appeal to the Civil Service Commission regarding her termination of
employment. Number of possible cases: 1.
10. Discussion and possible action re: disclosure of closed session pursuant to Ralph Brown
Act section 54957.1 and Sunshine Ordinance section 67.12.
11. Discussion and possible action to request a supplemental appropriation from the Board of
Supervisors to cover cost of hiring outside counsel.
12. Discussion and possible action to set fees for paid ballot arguments.
13. Public comments on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda but
within the jurisdiction of the Elections Commission.

The Elections Commission meeting will be held in Room 408, City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA. The Commission meeting room is wheelchair accessible.
