1. Call to Order, Roll Call, & Pledge of Allegiance

2. Public comment on matters appearing or not appearing on the agenda that are within the jurisdiction of the Elections Commission.

Note: The Commission will hear public comment on each item on the agenda before or during consideration of that item. At this time members of the public may address the Commission on items that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Elections Commission and that do not appear on the agenda.

3. Approval of Past Minutes from meetings on 1.24.02, 2.1.02, 2.5.02, 2.7.02 (Budget and Policy Committee), and 2.7.02. (Discussion and Possible Action)

4. Vote of Confidence in the actions of the Commission President and the Commission Vice-President. (Discussion and Possible Action)

5. Oral Report by the Director of Elections on March 5, 2002 Election. Report on what went well and what areas could be improved. (Discussion and Possible Action)

6. Discussion among Commissioners about their observations on March 5, 2002 Election (Discussion and Possible Action)

7. Reports by the Standing Committees

· Personnel Committee: on process and progress for position of Commission Secretary and Director of Elections. (Discussion and Possible Action)

8. Report from the Secretary of State’s Office on the March 5th, 2002 Election (Discussion and Possible Action)

9. Report from the Sheriff’s Department on the March 5th, 2002 Elections (Discussion and Possible Action)

10. Report from Individual Members of the Citizens’ Advisory Committee on Elections (Discussion and Possible Action)

11. Closed session pursuant to Ralph Brown Act, Section 54957 and Sunshine Ordinance section 67.8, discussion and possible action, Public Employee Performance Evaluation and determination of employment status (Director of Elections, Tammy Haygood).

12. Discussion and Possible Action re: Disclosure of closed session pursuant to Ralph Brown Act section 54957.1 and Sunshine Ordinance section 67.12.

Motion: The Elections Commission finds that it is (is not) in the best interest of the public to disclose its closed session deliberations re: public employee performance evaluation and determination of employment. (Director of Elections, Tammy Haygood)
