  1. Call to Order and Roll Call

    The meeting convened at 2:19 p.m.

    Members present: Chairperson Commissioner Mirkarimi, Commissioners McGoldrick and Sullivan.

  2. Approval of Minutes for March 30, 2007. (Discussion and Action Item)

    Public Comment: Silvia Johnson

    Commissioner McGoldrick moved, seconded by Commissioner Sullivan, to approve the minutes of March 30, 2007.

    Votes: Ayes: Chairperson Mirkarimi, Commissioners McGoldrick, Sullivan

    Action: Approved

  3. Request of Commissioner Mirkarimi to hear an update from the Public Utilities Commission on the Green Community Project in Hunter's Point. (Discussion and Possible Action Item)

Heard in Commission: Barbara Hale, Assistant Manager for Power, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) stated that the SFPUC is moving forward with the project in coordination with the Hunter's Point Redevelopment Agency Task Force.

Public Comment: None

Chairperson Mirkarimi moved, seconded by Commissioner McGoldrick, to continue to the Call of the Chair.

4. Discussion of Appointment of New Members. (Discussion and Possible Action Item)

Item #5 was heard before item #4.

Chairperson Mirkarimi announced that there is a vacancy for the Alternate Public Member position replacing Commissioner Sullivan.

  1. Executive Officer Report

    Executive Officer Nancy Miller reported on Community Choice Aggregation activities occurring in various cities in California.

    Speaker: Barbara Hale, Assistant Manager for Power, SFPUC, spoke on the Community Choice Aggregation legislation recently passed by the Board of Supervisors, feasibility study regarding tidal power and memorandum of understanding between PG&E and various parties.

  3. Future Agenda Items

    Chairperson Mirkarimi requested to include discussions of Community Choice Aggregation update, Tidal Power Memorandum of Understanding and Trans Bay Cable Project to future agenda.

USING LAPTOP COMPUTERS FOR PRESENTATIONS: Please contact City Hall Media Services at (415) 554-4933 to coordinate the use of laptop computers for presentations at the meeting. Computers to be used are required to be tested in advance. The presenter should arrive 30 minutes prior to the meeting to connect and test their computer. Members of the public who want a document placed on the overhead for display should clearly state such and subsequently remove the document when they want the screen to return to live coverage of the meeting.

Both the Committee Room (Room 263) and the Legislative Chamber are wheelchair accessible. The closest accessible BART Station is Civic Center, three blocks from City Hall. Accessible MUNI lines serving this location are: #42 Downtown Loop, and the #71 Haight/Noriega and the F Line to Market and Van Ness and the Metro stations at Van Ness and Market and at Civic Center. There is accessible parking in the vicinity of City Hall at Civic Center Plaza and adjacent to Davies Hall and the War Memorial Complex.
