  1. Call to Order and Roll Call

    The meeting convened at 2:10 p.m.

    Members present: Chairperson Mirkarimi, Commissioners Daly, McGoldrick, Schmeltzer (arrived at 2:12 p.m.) and Bornstein

  2. Approval of Minutes for November 9, 2007.


    Public Comment: None

    Motion made by Commissioner Daly, seconded by Commissioner McGoldrick to approve minutes for November 9, 2007.

  3. Elections of the Chair and Vice Chair of SF LAFCO for one-year terms.

    Public Comment: None

    Motion made by Chairperson Mirkarimi, seconded by Commissioner Daly to continue the item to the next meeting.

  4. Status of Responses to SF LAFCo RFQ and Discussion of Contract Tasks for CCA Advisory Role

    Nancy Miller, Interim Executive Officer reported on the status of the RFQ responses and answered questions from Commissioners.

    Public Comment: None

    Motion made by Commissioner Daly, seconded by Chairperson Mirkarimi to invite and hear presentations from the panel and contractors at the February LAFCo meeting so that the Commission could move forward in making a decision.

    Motion made by Chairperson Mirkarimi, seconded by Commissioner McGoldrick to continue the item to the Call of the Chair.

  5. Status of Responses to SFPUC RFQ and hiring of CCA Implementation Project Staff

    Nancy Miller, Interim Executive Officer reported on the status of responses to SFPUC RFQ and hiring of CCA implementation project staff.

    Motion made by Commissioner Daly, seconded by Chairperson Mirkarimi that a formal letter be sent to SF PUC expressing that LAFCo is interested in their adhering to the timeline that they had previously agreed to on the implementation.

Report on status of SJVPA action against PG&E before the CPUC and denial of SFPUC petition to participate as intervenor (City Attorney)

USING LAPTOP COMPUTERS FOR PRESENTATIONS: Please contact City Hall Media Services at (415) 554-4933 to coordinate the use of laptop computers for presentations at the meeting. Computers to be used are required to be tested in advance. The presenter should arrive 30 minutes prior to the meeting to connect and test their computer. Members of the public who want a document placed on the overhead for display should clearly state such and subsequently remove the document when they want the screen to return to live coverage of the meeting.

Both the Committee Room (Room 263) and the Legislative Chamber are wheelchair accessible. The closest accessible BART Station is Civic Center, three blocks from City Hall. Accessible MUNI lines serving this location are: #42 Downtown Loop, and the #71 Haight/Noriega and the F Line to Market and Van Ness and the Metro stations at Van Ness and Market and at Civic Center. For more information about MUNI accessible services, call 923-6142. There is accessible parking in the vicinity of City Hall at Civic Center Plaza and adjacent to Davies Hall and the War Memorial Complex.
