            (The public is now welcome to address the Commission regarding items that do not appear on tonight’s agenda but that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission.  Speakers shall address their remarks to the Commission as a whole and not to individual Commissioners or Department or OCC personnel.  Under Police Commission Rules of Order, during public comment, neither Police personnel, OCC personnel, nor Commissioners are required to respond to questions presented by the public but, may provide a brief response.  Individual Commissioners and Police personnel should refrain, however, from entering into any debates or discussion with speakers during public comment.  Please limit your comments to three (3) minutes.)

4.         Request of the Chief of Police for approval to retroactively accept and expend a $178,962 Carl Moyer Grant from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to replace the engines on the Marine 1 Police Boat (ACTION ITEM)

 

5.         Request of the Chief of Police for approval to retroactively accept and expend a $65,000 grant from the California State Department of Boating and Waterways for a Boating Safety and Enforcement Grant to purchase equipment for the Marine Unit (ACTION ITEM)

9.         Closed Session – Disciplinary Cases

            a.         Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957(b)(1) and San Francisco        Administrative Code Section 67.10(b) and Penal Code Section 832.7:

                        PERSONNEL EXCEPTION:   Assignment of Disciplinary Charges filed in          Case No. IVF C11-023 to a Commissioner for taking of evidence on a date to be determined by the Commissioner (ACTION ITEM)

            b.         Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957 and San Francisco Administrative        Code    Section             67.10(b) and Penal Code Section 832.7:

            PERSONNEL EXCEPTION:  Discussion and possible action to appoint a Commissioner to monitor disciplinary Case No. ALW C08-181 currently assigned to an outside hearing officer and hearing on the Motion to Compel Discovery (ACTION ITEM)

13.       Closed Session – PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT:  Chief of Police

            Review and evaluation of applications submitted by candidates for Chief of Police.  This item may be held in closed session under Government Code Section 54957(b) and San Francisco  Administrative Code Section 67.10(b).  (DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION)
