The Police Commission of the City and County of San Francisco met in Room 400, City Hall, #1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, at 5:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Commissioners Mazzucco, Marshall, DeJesus, Chan, Kingsley, Loftus, Turman
(Commissioner Kingsley arrived at 5:45 p.m.; Commissioner DeJesus arrived at 6:04 p.m.)
The Commission commended and thanked Lt. Reilly, who will be retiring at the end of the week, for his work with the Commission.

RESOLVED, that the Police Commission hereby approves the request of Captain John Garrity to accept gift of 60 T
‐shirts from Macy’s Corp to the Tenderloin Police Station to be donated towards the Tenderloin Station National Night‐Out Event, valued at $480.00.

PUBLIC COMMENT
Patricia Boyd spoke of crimes in the Cow Hollow district and the upcoming America’s Cup.
Ace Washington thanked the Chief and then went on to talk about the African American out migration.
Eric King asked about an incident in the mid 90s with the FBI and asked if the OCC investigated the matter.
Unidentified congratulated Commissioner DeJesus and thanked Commissioner Kingsley for doing a ride
‐along. He went on to discuss concerns regarding Commissioner Mazzucco’s comments about officers involved in the shooting of Kenneth Harding.
Clyde spoke in regards to an officer involved shooting in Oakland.

Chief Suhr gave a brief update on crime statistics, homicides at 34. Chief Suhr also talked about promotions of 15 lieutenants and 19 sergeants. Chief Suhr then went on to talk about recent events around the Department.

Director Hicks reported on recent activities including cases opened and cases mediated.
Director Hicks then presented the OCC’s First Quarter 2012 Quarterly report and the Monthly Comprehensive Statistical report.

Commissioner Mazzucco has no report.
Commissioner Kingsley talked about her ride
‐along in the Mission District and her tour of the Mission Station and thanked the officers involved.
Commissioner Turman talked about the Glide Memorial’s 5
th Anniversary of the Domestic Violence Women’s Program and went on to commend Commanders Biel and Ali for their attendance. Commissioner Turman also commended the Department for their actions this past weekend.
d. Commission Announcements and scheduling of items identified for consideration at future Commission meetings
Lieutenant Reilly announced that the Commission will meet in the Tenderloin District on June 27
th.
Commissioner Mazzucco also announced that there will be no meeting on July 4
th but will meet on July 11th.
