APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO ACCEPT DONATION FOR THE SFPD MOUNTED UNIT OF $1,000.00 FROM MS. KAREN FIREMAN
RESOLVED, that the Police Commission hereby approves the request of the Chief of Police to accept donation for the SFPD Mounted Unit of $1,000.00 from Ms. Karen Fireman.

Ray Hartz, SF Open Government, spoke in regards to an incident in the San Francisco Public Library and his request for an immediate disclosure request from the Department.
Clyde discussed concerns regarding being handcuffed and commended the OCC for their Annual Report.

Captain Mannix presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Mr. Harold Soriano.
Chief Suhr announced that SF Weekly awarded the Tenderloin Station with the Best Police Station Award and congratulated Captain Garrity and members of the Tenderloin Station.
Chief Suhr then updated the Commission in regards to recent officer
‐involved shootings and recent incidents of homicides, three homicides total. The Chief also reported on recent events attended by the command staff.
Commander Tomioka presented the update on OCC policy recommendations regarding DGOs 5.05, 5.01, and 5.20.

Director Hicks reported on recent activities including cases opened and cases mediated.
Director Hicks then presented the OCC’s Monthly Comprehensive Statistical Report for the periods of April 1, 2012 to April 30, 2012, and companion reports and went on to talk about adjudication of sustained complaints.

Commissioner Mazzucco reported on recent activities and talked about recent signing of the Board of Supervisors’ ordinance in regards to the joint terrorism task force MOU.

Commissioner Chan would like DGOs 5.01 and 5.05 be calendared for July 11, 2012.
