JANUARY 11, 2012 REGULAR MEETING

 

 

The Police Commission of the City and County of San Francisco met in Room 400, City Hall, #1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, at 5:35 p.m.

PRESENT: Commissioners Mazzucco, Marshall, DeJesus, Chan, Kingsley, Slaughter

ABSENT: Commissioner Turman

(Commissioner Marshall arrived at 5:40 p.m.)

PUBLIC COMMENT

Ace Washington announced that he will be putting together a reality show at City Hall and discussed concerns about being assaulted and asked the Chief to do a full investigation against the Mayor’s security.

Review of recent activities

 

 

Preliminary discussion regarding SFPD’s 20122013 budget

 

Chief Suhr reported briefly on crime statistics. The Chief also updated the Commission regarding recent events that happened in the past weeks.

Captain Goldberg presented the preliminary update of the Department’s 2012

 

2013 budget. Captain Goldberg also introduced Carolyn Welch the new Department’s budget manager.

 

b. OCC Director’s Report

Director Hicks presented the preliminary update of the OCC’s 2012

 

2013 budget.

Commissioners’ Reports

 

Commissioner Mazzucco reported about attending the inauguration of Mayor Lee.

Commissioner Chan talked about attending the lecture of Dr. Kevin Gilmartin and recommends that officers attend the lecture.

d. Commission Announcements, scheduling of items identified for consideration at future Commission meetings

Commissioner Kingsley asked that the priority resolution be scheduled for next week.

Commissioner Slaughter also asked that a resolution for three meetings per month be on the agenda next week.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Paulette Brown discussed the homicide of her son Aubrey Abrkana and asked for help to find the suspects who did this to her son and asked that there be a permanent place to put up the posters.
