    • Director of Strategy

    • State of homelessness in SF

    • No 2020 point in time count of homelessness (due to COVID)

    • tgarner@stp-sf.org email contact for person in charge of point in time homeless counts

    • 30 new homeless veterans coming every month

      • Unknown where coming from or how becoming homeless

    • Volunteers to do homeless counts

 

  • Draft letter for County Veteran Service Office funding [Discussion/Action Item]

 

  • Letter to get correct amount of funding from the state

  • Intended person to send letter to

  • Body of letter

    • Recommend having letter signed by Mayor and BoS

    • Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to get public interest in getting state funding

    • Motion to send letter to state legislature and BoS

      • Motion passes

 

  • Letter of resolution for SB519 [Discussion/Action Item]

    • SB519 is in suspense

    • Motion to draft letter based on talking points

    • Cmr Chan makes motion, seconded by Cmr Tucker, motion passes

    • Rodney Bailey in support of SB519

  • Policy discussion on Deployed Commissioners [Discussion/Action]

    • Nicholas Russanoff – stand in

    • Myles Tucker – should be able to remain in position while in commission.

    • M Gray from public commented – males are victims of sexual assault as well

    • Courtney Ellington commented

 

  • Sexual Assault in the military resolution [Discussion/Action]
