Please note that no materials may be distributed for consideration or review by Council Members at a meeting, unless these materials have been provided to MOD Staff in electronic format at least two days (and preferably four days) prior to the meeting.

Accessible Meeting Information

City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other disabilities.  The Polk Street/ Carlton B. Goodlett entrance is accessible via a ramp and a wheelchair lift.  The other three entrances are accessible via ramps.  Assistive listening devices are available and the meeting itself will be real-time captioned and sign language interpreted. Agendas are available in large print and Braille.  Other materials are available in alternative formats upon request.  Please make your requests for alternative format or additional accommodations to the Council Clerk, Howard O. Wong, 554-6789 (V), 554-6799 (TTY). Requesting accommodations at least 72 hours prior to the meeting will help to ensure availability.

MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 47 & 49 Van Ness, 9 San Bruno, and the 6, 7, 71 Haight/ Noriega.  Accessible curbside parking is available on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place and Grove Street. The nearest accessible BART / MUNI Metro station is Powell Street station. The accessible MUNI Metro lines at Powell Street Station are the J, K, L, M, N.   Please note that the Civic Center elevator serving both MUNI and BART is shut down for renovations until early May 2009.  

In order to assist the City’s efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to perfumes and various other chemical-based scented products.  Please help the City to accommodate these individuals.
