7 Discussion item: Parking and Traffic Accessibility Issues
Introduction: Discussion chair, Vince Behan
Issues raised in previous testimony which may be addressed
at this meeting include:
Blue zones in residential areas
Enforcement of blue zone violations (no tow now)
Enforcement at curb ramps not painted red
Sidewalk obstruction enforcement
Confiscation of placards when citizen has no proper
ID
Blue zone ticketing of ramp taxis for loading and
unloading
Blue zone designations at senior/disabled housing
buildings
How the MUNI/ parking and traffic merger will happen,
and how will this affect people with disabilities?
DPT presentations are expected to include:

City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs,
and others with disabilities. Asssistive listening devices are available and
meetings are open-captioned in the hearing room. Agendas are available in
large print. Materials in alternative formats and/or American Sign Language
interpreters will be made available upon request. Please make your request
for reasonable accommodations at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.
The nearest accessible BART station is Civic Center Plaza
at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets. The accessible MUNI
Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue
Station). MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 42 Downtown Loop, 9 San
Bruno, and the 6, 7, 71 Haight/ Noriega. Accessible curbside parking is available
on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place and Grove Street.
