1. ICEBREAKER: Facilitated by Co-chair Supanich.
2. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ITEM: A
discussion regarding the existing and proposed By-Laws
and expectations of MDC Council members, including a
policy and procedure manual and ideas about how to
“formalize” the Council. (By-Laws Committee)
3. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ITEM: A
discussion of an action plan for recruitment of new
members and the procedure for Council appointments.
Discussion will include suggestions for wider outreach to
disability organization advocates, individuals with
hearing disabilities and others that reflect the overall
diversity of the San Francisco population. (MDC
Members and MOD Staff)
4. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ITEM:
Discussion about the creation of new subcommittees
including one that will promote education and awareness
on invisible disabilities. (MDC Members and MOD Staff)
5. BREAK
6. DISCUSSION ITEM: Setting goals for the Council and
individual Council members. Follow up from the request
for each Council member to think about at least one goal
for the Council and one personal goal. Are there
additional resources needed to meet these goals? What
are they? (Co-Chairs Supanich and Zarda)
7. INFORMATION ITEM: A brief training on the ADA and
other civil rights laws and how they relate and interact in
Title II entities. (MOD Staff)
8. WRAP UP AND CLOSING EXERCISE: Facilitated by
Co-Chair Zarda.
9. ADJOURN.

accessible MUNI Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic
Center Station). MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 9
San Bruno, and the 6, 7, 71 Haight/ Noriega. NOTE: There
is limited parking in this area. Accessible parking is available
at Civic Center Garage, located at 355 McAllister St. on
McAllister St. between Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Pl. and Larkin
St.
