1. WELCOME, INTRODUCTION, and ROLL CALL.

2. ACTION ITEM: Reading and Approval of the Agenda.

3. PUBLIC COMMENT: Items not on today’s agenda, but within the jurisdiction of the MDC. Each speaker is limited to three minutes.

4. INFORMATION ITEM: Report from Co-Chair Zarda.

5. INFORMATION ITEM: Report from the Director of the Mayor’s Office on Disability.

6. INFORMATION ITEM: Transportation 2030: Presentation on the Mayor’s Transportation Task Force 2030 findings and recommendations, including a $500 million Transportation and Road Improvement General Obligation Bond on the November 2014 ballot. Funding identified by the Mayor’s Transportation Task Force 2030 would pay for critical transportation infrastructure projects, including accessibility improvements. Presentation by Alicia John-Baptiste, Chief of Staff, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA).

7. INFORMATION ITEM: Lyft Accessibility: Lyft is a mobile application matching local community drivers with passengers seeking rides. Lyft will share details of their technology and how their services can support customers with disabilities. Presentation by Emily Castor, Director of Community Relations, Lyft.

8. INFORMATION ITEM: Better Market Street Transit Priority: Proposal for improvements to the surface transit facilities on Market Street between Octavia Boulevard and Steuart Street, including new stop spacing and locations for buses travelling on Market Street. Presentation by Simon Bertrang, Project Manager, Department of Public Works and Britt Tanner, Project Manager at San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA).

9. ACTION ITEM: Co-Chair Elections. In accordance with the Mayor’s Disability Council Bylaws, Article III Section 1, there shall be two Co-Chairs elected to serve as officers of the Council and elections will be staggered by at least three months. The present election will be to elect a Co-Chair to the position currently held by Co-Chair Supanich whose term just expired.

10. INFORMATION ITEM: Report from the Disability Disaster Preparedness Committee (DDPC).

11. PUBLIC COMMENT: Items not on today’s agenda, but within the jurisdiction of the MDC. Each speaker is limited to three minutes.

Accessible Meeting Information

City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices. Wheelchair access is provided at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister streets via ramps. Wheelchair access at the Polk Street/ Carlton B. Goodlett entrance is provided through a wheelchair lift. Assistive listening devices are available and the meeting itself will be real-time captioned and sign language interpreted. Agendas are available in large print and Braille. Other materials are available in alternative formats upon request.

The nearest accessible BART station is Civic Center Plaza at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets. The accessible MUNI Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue Station). MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 47 Van Ness, 9 San Bruno, and the 6, 7, 71 Haight/ Noriega. Accessible curbside parking is available on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place and Grove Street.

In order to assist the City in accommodating persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, please refrain from wearing scented products to MDC Meetings or when visiting the MOD Office. This includes perfume, scented lotions, detergents, or hairsprays, etc. Thank you for helping us to provide meetings that are fully accessible to all people with disabilities.
