7.    INFORMATION ITEM: Update on the Dignity Fund.  An overview and update of the Dignity Fund, passed as Proposition I on the November ballot, which enhances funding for services for seniors and adults with disabilities in San Francisco.  The presentation will cover the implementation, funding allocation process, the oversight and advisory group, provider group, and how you can learn more and get involved. Presentation by Melissa McGee, Program Manager for the Dignity Fund, Department of Aging and Adult Services and Marie Jobling, Member, Dignity Fund Coalition.

8.    INFORMATION ITEM:  San Francisco’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) Program. The City of San Francisco, in collaboration with the San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA) and virtually every other City agency, is implementing the RAD. This is a federal program that creates public / private partnerships, to address significant financial and physical challenges at the SFHA’s deteriorating housing sites.  Presentation by Erin Carson, Construction Manager, Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development and Arfaraz Khambatta, Deputy Director of Physical Access, Mayor’s Office on Disability.

9.    INFORMATION ITEM:  Wheelchair Accessible Taxi Services and an overview of the SF Paratransit Program.  A presentation about the impact of the decreasing number of “on the road” accessible taxis, as well as an overview of the services provided through the SF Paratransit program, the city’s complementary ADA paratransit service. Topics that will be covered include program eligibility requirements as well as both ADA and non-ADA transportation services available to seniors and individuals with disabilities.  Presentation by Jonathan Cheng, Paratransit Coordinator, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.

10.    INFORMATION ITEM:  Getaround. An overview and background of Getaround, as well as information on Getaround and City CarShare joining forces. This information will include an update on City CarShare's AccessMobile vehicles.  Presentation by Carissa Bilinski, Getaround, SF City Manager.

Accessible Meeting Information

City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices.  Wheelchair access is provided at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister streets via ramps.  Wheelchair access at the Polk Street/ Carlton B. Goodlett entrance is provided through a wheelchair lift. Assistive listening devices are available and the meeting itself will be real-time captioned and sign language interpreted. Agendas are available in large print and Braille.  Other materials are available in alternative formats upon request.

The nearest accessible BART station is Civic Center Plaza at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets.  The accessible MUNI Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue Station).  MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 47 Van Ness, the 49 Van Ness, 9 San Bruno, 5-Fulton, 6, 7, and 21-Hayes. Accessible curbside parking is available on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place and Grove Street.

In order to assist the City in accommodating persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, please refrain from wearing scented products to MDC Meetings or when visiting the MOD Office. This includes perfume, scented lotions, detergents, or hairsprays, etc. Thank you for helping us to provide meetings that are fully accessible to all people with disabilities.
Per the Language Access Ordinance (Chapter 91 of the San Francisco Administrative Code), Chinese, Spanish and or Filipino (Tagalog) interpreters will be available upon request.
