A presentation on the services and locations of the Aging and Disability Resource Centers of San Francisco and a success story by an ADRC Information and Assistance Specialist. Presentation by Rowena Fontanos, Community Outreach Supervisor and Vilma I. Molina, Information and Assistance Specialist.

6. INFORMATION ITEM: The Bridge at Main: The San Francisco Public Library’s New Literacy and Learning Center. The Bridge at Main is a literacy and learning center that prioritizes community learning, adult literacy, youth and family literacy and technology literacy to create a learning environment for 21st Century skills. Presentation by Laura Lay, Learning Differences Librarian.

7. INFORMATION ITEM: Innovation to Enhance Communication: Using Video Remote Interpreting. Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is an innovative modality, allowing on-demand access to an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter using an internet connection, which allows for our customers to connect with an ASL interpreter, whenever and wherever it is needed. Presentation by Susan Morgan, Strategic Account Executive, LanguageLine Solutions.

8. INFORMATION ITEM: Supporting the “Keep Us Connected” Campaign. Community Living Campaign is working with other senior and disability organizations to help expand opportunities for computer access and learning. High on the list is to hire more seniors and adults with disabilities to be trainers, tutors and volunteer coordinators. Learn what you can do to help. Presentation by Marie Jobling, Executive Director, Community Living Campaign and Jennifer Walsh, Community Connector, Community Living Campaign.

Accessible Meeting Information
City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices. Wheelchair access is provided at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister streets via ramps. Wheelchair access at the Polk Street/ Carlton B. Goodlett entrance is provided through a wheelchair lift. Assistive listening devices are available and the meeting itself will be real-time captioned and sign language interpreted. Agendas are available in large print and Braille. Other materials are available in alternative formats upon request.
