4.     INFORMATION ITEM:  Comments by Supervisor Eric Mar, District 1, regarding City employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

5.     INFORMATION ITEM:   Access to City Employment for People with Disabilities. A status update report on the Advisory Panel recommendations and accomplishments to date. Presentation by Ed Wong, Citywide Recruiter, Department of Human Resources.

6.    INFORMATION ITEM: Policy Recommendations on City Employment for People with Disabilities – Perspectives from Disability Service Providers. Remarks by :
     Kate Williams, Employment Immersion Program Leader, Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired;
     Michael Schocket, Program Director, Caminar Jobs Plus;
     Fiona Hinze, Systems Change Coordinator / Community Organizer, Independent Living Resource Center San Francisco.
     Anne Steiner, San Francisco Mayor’s Committee for Employment of Persons with Disabilities.

7.    INFORMATION ITEM: Personal Employment Perspectives: a selection of a diverse group of employees with visible and invisible disabilities share their stories, challenges and recommendations for transforming the City and County of San Francisco into a model employer for people with disabilities. Presentations by:
     Joanna Fraguli, Deputy Director/Programmatic Access, Mayor’s Office on Disability;
     Anh Nguyen,Sustainable Streets Accessibility Coordinator, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency;
     Leah Van der Mei, Director, Guest Operations, California Academy of Sciences;  
     Rebecca Bradley, Manager of Access Programs, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco;
     Marti Goddard, Access Services Manager, San Francisco Public Library;
     Jonathan Lyens, Project Manager, Department of Public Health.

8.    INFORMATION ITEM:  Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) Benefits and Resources Hub at 2 Gough.  An overview of the services offered at 2 Gough, along with the timeline for completion and description of the layout of the space.  Also, a plan to hire part time seniors and/or younger adults with disabilities to serve as community liaisons who will provide information and support to consumers who visit this one stop shop.  Presentation by Jason Adamek, Intake Services Manager, Department of Aging and Adult Services.

 Accessible Meeting Information

City Hall is accessible to persons using wheelchairs and other assistive mobility devices.  Wheelchair access is provided at the Grove, Van Ness and McAllister streets via ramps.  Wheelchair access at the Polk Street/ Carlton B. Goodlett entrance is provided through a wheelchair lift. Assistive listening devices are available and the meeting itself will be real-time captioned and sign language interpreted. Agendas are available in large print and Braille.  Other materials are available in alternative formats upon request.

Requesting accommodations at least 72 hours prior to the meeting will help to ensure availability. The nearest accessible BART station is Civic Center Plaza at the intersection of Market, Grove, and Hyde Streets.  The accessible MUNI Metro lines are the J, K, L, M, and N (Civic Center Station or Van Ness Avenue Station).  MUNI bus lines serving the area are the 47 Van Ness, the 49 Van Ness, 9 San Bruno, 5-Fulton, 6, 7, and 21-Hayes. Accessible curbside parking is available on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place and Grove Street.
 
In order to assist the City in accommodating persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, please refrain from wearing scented products to MDC Meetings or when visiting the MOD Office. This includes perfume, scented lotions, detergents, or hairsprays, etc. Thank you for helping us to provide meetings that are fully accessible to all people with disabilities.
Per the Language Access Ordinance (Chapter 91 of the San Francisco Administrative Code), Chinese, Spanish and/or Filipino (Tagalog) interpreters will be available upon request. Assistance in additional languages may be honored whenever possible.
