1. Approval of minutes of June 19, 2002. Minutes approved (Cauthen/Parker)
2. Complaint of Marilyn Amini against Planning Department and Planning Commission for failure to include submitted material for Planning Commission public hearing; Brown Act violation; alteration of public records; failure to include submitted material.
Motion adopted accepting letter of jurisdiction from the Deputy City Attorney. (Comstock/Parker)
Motion adopted accepting jurisdiction of the four complaints as submitted by the complainant. (Cauthen/Comstock)
3. Complaint of Jason Grant Garza against Department of Public Health, Department of Mental Health, City Attorney, for failure to produce records.
Motion adopted recommending jurisdiction over the failure of the timeliness of receiving documents from the Health Department. (Parker/Cauthen)
Motion adopted recommending the task force consider the issue of failure to receive medical records. (Comstock/Cauthen)
Member Comstock left the meeting at this time.
4. Day and time of regular Complaint Committee meetings.
Motion adopted setting day and time of regular Committee meeting for the second Tuesday of each month, 4:00 p.m. (Parker/Cauthen) (Comstock absent)
5. Task Force Member items.
Discussion held regarding the Police Department automated recording regarding request for copies of police reports. Requested Deputy City Attorney to look into the Government Code Section 6254 (f) regarding exemptions for withholding information; is the Police Department tape message appropriate.
6. Public Comment. No public comment.
