Roll Call: Present: Cauthen, Comstock. Absent: Parker

1. Approval of minutes of July 16, 2002. Minutes approved (Comstock/Cauthen)
(Parker absent)

2. Complaint of Frederick Hobson and Nick Roomel against the Drug Abuse Advisory Board regarding refusal to provide public information; failure to notify time of meeting in a timely fashion; taking action without a quorum.

Nick Roomel advised the Administrator he is not a party to this complaint.

          Frederick Hobson spoke on behalf of his complaint.

Motion adopted accepting letter of jurisdiction from the Deputy City Attorney. (Comstock/Cauthen) (Parker absent)

3. Complaint of Frederick Hobson against the Animal Control Commission regarding failure to provide records.

Motion adopted accepting letter of jurisdiction from the Deputy City Attorney. (Comstock/Cauthen) (Parker absent)

4. Complaint of Frederick Hobson against the Animal Control Commission regarding failure to provide agendas and minutes.

Frederick Hobson spoke on behalf of his complaint. June Wilson spoke against the complaint.

5. Complaint of Catherine Tchen against the Animal Control Commission regarding failure to provide agendas and minutes.

6. Complaint of Jason Grant Garza against the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department regarding failure to provide records.

Motion adopted accepting letter of jurisdiction from the Deputy City Attorney. (Comstock/Cauthen) (Parker absent)

Motion adopted that the custodian of records did not properly respond to the request because the signature on the letter was not the actual signer of the letter. (Comstock/Cauthen) (Parker absent)

7. Report from Deputy City Attorney regarding Police Department automated recording regarding request for copies of police reports.

Deputy City Attorney Llorente reported he had talked with the Police Department and they were willing to discuss modifying the tape.

8. Task Force Member items.

--Mayor’s Office records request response.

Deputy City Attorney Llorente to contact the legal counsel for the Mayor’s Office regarding redacting of information.

9. Public comment. No public comment.
