Agenda Changes: Item #3, item #4 and item #6 were continued to the next meeting.

Approval of minutes of July 11, 2006.

Member Cauthen recommended amendment of item #4 to read:

"After some discussion by members of the committee, the administrator agreed to provide support at future meetings and no future action was taken."

Determination of jurisdiction of complaint filed by Javier Gonzalez against the City Attorney's Office for alleged failure to produce documents relating to an investigative report

Speaker: Mariam Morley, Deputy City Attorney, City Attorney's Office.

Motion to recommend jurisdiction. ( Cauthen / Goldman )

Determination of jurisdiction of complaint filed by Kimo Crossman against the Department of Telecommunications and Information Services for alleged failure to respond to a IDR, untimely response, to provide records incrementally, to exempt review, to provide records electronically, and to use computer technology to reduce cost.

Speakers: None

Both parties have agreed to continue the item to the next meeting. Neither party appeared.

Motion to continue the item to the next meeting. Without objection.

Determination of jurisdiction of complaint filed by Beth Rimbey against the Office of Emergency Services and the Mayors Office of Communications for alleged failure to produce documents, incomplete production of documents, unnecessary redactions, and untimely response.

Speakers: Beth Rimbey, Complainant, spoke on the complaint and agreed to provide to the Task Force similar documents she obtained from other cities for comparison.

Jennifer Petrucione, Deputy Communications Director, Mayors Office of Communication (MOC), spoke on the complaint and agreed to provide to the Task Force guidelines the MOC has regarding redactions.

Ms. Rimbey and Ms. Petrucione agreed to discuss their issues outside the hearing room.

Chair Cauthen, in accordance with Committee consensus, requested that a representative from the City Attorney's Office appears before the next full Task Force meeting if a written guideline is not provided prior to the next full Task Force meeting.

Determination of jurisdiction of complaint filed by Juan De Anda against the Department of Public Health for alleged incomplete production of documents

Both parties have agreed to continue the item to the next meeting. Neither party appeared.

Discussion of policy and procedural issues regarding development of a draft Order of Determination for the full Task Force.

Speakers: None

Motion to develop information to aid in the drafting of an Order of Determination by the Full Task Force. (Cauthen/Wolfe)
