Agenda Changes:
Chair Cauthen informed members that complaints 06020 and 06021 were withdrawn. With regards to the Gaynor complaint Chair Cauthen said that she will request that Chair Comstock, through the Task Force, write a letter to departments requesting that any staff who deal with the public receive Sunshine training. This may prevent/reduce complaints filed against departments.

Amendments to the minutes of July 11, 2006.
Chair Cauthen informed the Members that after listening to the tape of the meeting that the minutes need to be amended because the Administrator did not make the identified statement regarding staff support.
Administrator Darby stated that he will notify the Committee in advance of his absence for a meeting and will do his best to ensure that support is provided in his absence.

Motion to amend the minutes of July 11, 2006 for item #4 to replace the statement that says, "& the Administrator agreed to provide support at future meetings" with the following: "...the Members expressed a strong wish to have full time support during meetings, and to be notified in advance if the Administrator will be absent for a meeting." Determination of jurisdiction of complaint filed by San Francisco Survival Manual on behalf of Dr. Wayne Lanier against the Mayor's Officer for alleged failure to provide requested records.
Speakers: Christian Holmer, Complainant stated that all documents have not been provided; Joe Arellano, Mayors Office of Communications said that calendar entries for March 3 to July 14, 2006 were provided, but not in a timely manner; that calendar entries for July 15 through November 6, 2006 is being compiled.
Chair Cauthen asked Deputy City Attorney (DCA) Llorente to address what Section 67.29-5 of the Ordinance requires. DCA Llorente, responded that the Ordinance requires the Mayor to maintain daily calendars and to make it available by request three business days after the calendar entry date.
