Committee Members: Allyson Washburn, David Snyder, Richard Knee, Bruce Wolfe, Hope Johnson

Call to Order: 4:00 p.m. and starting at 4:08 p.m.

Roll Call: Present: Snyder, Knee, Washburn, Johnson ( in at 4:10 )
Excused: Wolfe

Deputy City Attorney: Jerry Threet (not present)
Clerk: Chris Rustom

Approval of December 14, 2010, regular meeting minutes.

Member Knee, seconded by Member Snyder, moved to continue the item to the next meeting.

Public Comment: None

The motion carried on the following vote:
Ayes: 3 – Snyder, Knee, Washburn

Ethics Commission proposed policy for handling Sunshine-related complaints.

Heard: Member Snyder gave an overview of his proposal based on Allen Grossman’s draft. Members then questioned him on certain topics. Member Knee is to give the Ethics Commission an update and thank them for their patience.

Mr. Rustom made the report.

Announcements, questions, and future agenda items from Committee members.

Member Knee said the Society of Professional Journalists has extended the deadline for accepting nominations for its annual James Madison Award, and details are available at www.spjnorthcal.org.

There being no further business, the Compliance and Amendments Committee adjourned at the hour of 4:56 p.m.
